As early as second grade, I became aware that I had an ability to draw that other students didn’t have. The attention I received from fellow students and the encouragement that I was given by teachers and my parents cemented my life and love in art. From then on, everything that interested me was art and creative expression.

Later in college, I became heavily involved in theater. Acting, singing, dancing but truthfully I shone more in the areas of set design, construction and painting as well as costuming and makeup. Years later, frustrated and struggling as a fine artist and working theater projects here and there to make ends meet, I set my sights on an education in interior design at DESIGN INSTITUTE OF SAN DIEGO. Here I felt I could use my diverse artistic talents to carve out a legitimate career. After graduating from DI, I had fellow students calling me for artistic projects for their clients. That steered me in a whole new direction and I spent the next 15 years or so doing decorative wall finishes, murals and faux painting.

Through this time, I slowly started picking up interior design projects. I feel now I have the best of these three worlds with a fantastic balance of fine art, decorative painting and interior design projects.
